The Safety & Welfare work group’s drive is to reaffirm within the PACT agreement the need to address the safety and welfare of all members working long hours in film and TV production. 

We hope to promote better workplace practices that would in turn improve the overall mental, emotional and physical wellbeing of crew members. We would like to start the conversation about the emotional risks of script content and how we can alleviate the negative effects they may have on crew members. We want to put forward policies and help create a culture within productions such as job-sharing and shift-systems that can work around personal responsibilities. 

We want our members to feel supported and to have access to helpful resources, as well as raise awareness by creating campaigns and events throughout the year.
