Filmbase is holding webinar with BECTU & BFDG about how to hold your rate!There's concern thatcrew will be asked to drop their rates to accomodate the financial pressures that productions are facing as a result of the new actor and writer agreements.
The panel will have crew members from Art, Props, Comstruction & Lighting Technicians BECTU branches - surely a first!
They'll be discussing how crew should respond to requests by productions to freeze or lower their rates.
Plus, we'll be hearing how Construction and the Lighting Technicians have successfully negotiated independant contracts, rate cards and yearly rate increases with PACT (the producers trade assosciation)This 90 minute webinar is free to all crew.
